HCC Champs!

OK, it's been awhile since I've blogged (again). 'Tis the season my friends, 'tis the season. The Noblesville Millers earned the HCC title defeating Lafayette Jeff in their 2nd to last regular season game. This is a first in school's history. Yeah rah Justin. Just prior to that Justin earned the District K Coach of the Year. Ditto Hubby! Who-rah! So on to sectionals to face Carmel, only to be defeated in a 3-2 loss in a heart-breaker game. Carmel was firing on all pistons, chucking it from the cheap seats, oh wait... It was one of the best games some of the old timers had ever seen played at the high school level. Meanwhile, the fans froze their buns off in nearly-freezing rain. The kids, such troopers they are, really hung in there for every bit of the excitement. To end the year at the HCC spring sports banquet, Justin was named co-Coach of the Year with fellow baseball coach Brent Harmon, who lost his child to leukemia during the season. The Millers are working out, playing some inner-squad games and a little catch this month before taking a break...well, they play travel ball and Coach Keever plays backyard ball with the little Miller team.
