Flip This House

When I first saw this house, we saw it had so much potential. It was already gutted so it left a clean palette for our ideas. Fortunately it didn't need new electrical or plumbing and has been doing very well with his "environmental heating system" for years. Though we would have to look into a rope ladder to access the third floor bedroom suite, we couldn't resist its charm and character. It seemed to tell its own story hidden behind layers of felt carpet and 1970 wallpaper. It desparately needed a new roof, which I found at a local roofing supply store (ie Hobby Lobby) and had Eagan, my color master choose the color of the front door and exterior. After fixing it up to flip, we decided to keep this charming little place. The Harrington's moved from their Pottery Barn into our home on Christmas morning. Mr. and Mrs. Harrington and their two children enjoy having cake for every meal and have plenty of books to read as they daydream about their third level suite waiting on the carpenter to finish their rope ladder. They are looking for more artwork for their walls, clothes for their armoires and are trying to keep the raccoons out of their trash (you can see this accessory but its pretty cute).
Ha ha, seriously I had not intentions to "flip", I took on a new project this year for Reagan! It's my childhood dollhouse Grandpa Pete made for me when I was four. It's obviously old and has been bumped around and through a few generations of love, but its structure was strong and ready for more love! It was a low-budget & earth-friendly remodel refurbished with completely pre-owned materials and Menards samples.
